The 153rd Airlift Wing will organize, train and equip a force capable of conducting effective and sustained operations in support of our national, state and community objectives. Our primary mission is to provide combat airlift to our state and nation.
153 AW Vision Statement
A united military organization of empowered individuals building on our proud tradition of serving country, state and community; leaning forward, ready to meet combat and peacetime challenges throughout the world.
It has been another extremely busy year for the men and women of the 153rd Airlift Wing. As we approach the end of the year, it is time for us to reflect on the many accomplishments and successes we have had in 2014 and look forward to an even better 2015. Chief Abbott and I are extremely proud to represent you and we admire your dedication and selfless service to our Nation and the state of Wyoming. Your efforts over the past year have directly contributed to the safety and security of our nation's citizens and improved the lives of the citizens of our great state.
Please take time during the holiday season to relax and enjoy the company of your family, friends and loved ones. If you are traveling, be safe! If you are not traveling, be safe! In either case, please keep the members of our unit deployed to Southwest Asia in your thoughts over the holidays. In addition, I would ask that we also keep the family members of our deployed airmen in our thoughts. It is never easy having a loved one deployed but it is even tougher over the holidays. They deserve special thanks!
Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for the New Year!

The holiday season is here and I would like to thank the men and women of the Wyoming Air National Guard who are deployed to Southwest Asia. Their dedication to the state of Wyoming and the United States Air Force brings credit upon all who have worn the uniform. I also want to extend special thanks to all the families who are spending the holiday season without their loved one due to this deployment.
For those of us at home, I encourage you to rest and enjoy time around the dinner table with family and friends. Consider helping younger Airmen and members of your community who may be struggling financially. Finally, be aware of your surroundings and make smart choices when traveling.
I wish each of you a healthy and happy holiday season.
