153rd Logistics Readiness Airmen recognized during Hometown Heroes Salute awards ceremony

CHEYENNE, Wyo. --  The Wyoming Air National Guard's 153rd Logistics Readiness Squadron hosted their first Hometown Heroes Salute awards event on April 10, at the Wyoming Air National Guard Dining Facility.

In August 2008, the director of the Air National Guard sanctioned the Hometown Heroes Salute recognition program. The purpose of this program is to celebrate and honor our Airmen, families, communities and those special supporters who have significantly contributed to supporting our Airmen and the Air National Guard's mission.

Maj. Nicole Chavez, commander of the 153rd Logistics Readiness Squadron recognized guardsmen of the 153rd Logistics Readiness Squadron that have deployed in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Noble Eagle and other peacekeeping operations across the globe.
