The Wyoming Air National Guard will not host the airpower air show in July.

Among the factors influencing the decision to cancel this year's show are deployments, construction affecting the ramp area, a number of major inspections this year, and lack of additional funding due to nationwide military assistance in Haiti.

"It was a tough decision but we would not have been able to provide the top notch air show the community deserves this year. We decided to not lower the bar," Col. Dennis Grunstad, 153rd Airlift Wing commander said.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds performance on July 28 is not affected by this decision.
