Latrice Stovall selected for 2008 Traffic Management Airman of the Year Published June 17, 2009 By Master Sgt. Trudy Woodcock Wyoming Military Department CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- Airman 1st Class Latrice M. Stovall, of Cheyenne, Wyo., a member of the Wyoming Air National Guard's 153rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, was named the 2008 Traffic Management Airman of the Year. This award identifies and recognizes the outstanding enlisted members for exceptional achievement in the traffic management community. This award showcases the true spirit, dedication and professionalism within career enlisted members. Some of the notable contributions Stovall has made are: - Completed all 5-level tasks and career development course requirements within one year of graduation from 3-level school; achieved a 91% on final test. - Quickly assumed responsibilities of transportation assistant; eliminated three-month backlog of shipments within two weeks. - Airman-in-charge of cargo processing; processed more than 5,500 shipments/230 tons of inbound/outbound cargo. - Able to manage the Traffic Management Flight in NCOIC's absence; ensured day-to-day operations continued without interruption in service; assisted in processing more than $550,000 in commercial airline tickets. "This is a huge win for the 153rd Airlift Wing. Our excellent personnel are being recognized," said Col. Debbie Henson, 153rd Mission Support Group commander. As the recipient of this award, Stovall will next compete at the Air Force level.
