243rd Air Traffic Control Squadron

Welcome to the 243rd Air Traffic Control Squadron. We are one of only ten
Air National Guard Air Traffic Control Squadrons located throughout the
United States. Our mission is to provide personnel and equipment ready to deploy and provide Air Traffic Services for worldwide service. The men and women of the 243rd are highly dedicated and ready to support their state and country.

Daily, our professionals operate Air Traffic Control facilities supporting
the 153rd Airlift Wing (C-130H Hercules) Wyoming Army Aviation (UH-60
Blackhawk, C-12 Huron,) Francis E. Warren Air Force Base (UH-1 Huey) and General Aviation and Air Carriers serving the Cheyenne Regional Airport. Additionally, training on our mobile equipment allows us the flexibility to provide Air Traffic Services from a bare base environment. Members of the unit have served in Operation Joint Endeavor/Guard (Bosnia), Operation Noble Eagle, Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan, Pakistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Take the time to speak to members of the 243rd about their role in our country's defense. You will find that they are enjoying a rewarding second career serving their state and country. The 243rd Air Traffic ControlĀ  Squadron continues the Wyoming heritage of military excellence.
