MAFFS II training conducted at the Wyoming Air Guard
A U.S. Forest Service lead plane directs two C-130s from the 153rd Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard, during Modular Airborne Firefighting System (MAFFS) training April 16, 2012, over Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center, Wyo. Lead planes assess fire damage and guide crews to drop coordinates for effective dispersal of water or retardant.
