individual ruck and run rules

  • Rucks will be weighed prior to race start.

  • Rucks must weigh a minimum of 35 pounds -- they can weigh more but not less.

  • A teal ribbon will be tied to participants ruck/backpack showing they have been weighed.

  • Rucks will be weighed prior to race start.

  • Rucks must weigh a minimum of 35 pounds -- they can weigh more but not less.

  • A teal ribbon will be tied to participants ruck/backpack showing they have been weighed.

  • All teams for the ruck or run will be a minimum of 5 members.

  • Additional members are permitted.

  • All teams for the ruck or run must cross the finish line together as a group.

  • A finishing time will not be recorded if the complete team does not finish together.

  • A holding corral will be provided just prior to finish line for teams who may have spread out over the course.

Individual award categories

  • Overall male and female runner recognized

  • Top three male and female ruckers will receive medals

  • Individual male and female run categories:

  • 10 and under
  • 11-15
  • 16-20
  • 21-25
  • 26-30
  • 31-35
  • 36-40
  • 41-45
  • 46-50
  • 51-55
  • 56-60
  • 61 and up

Team award categories

  • Top three military ruck teams (all members must be current/previous military members)

  • Top three military run teams (all members must be current/previous military members)

  • Top three community ruck team (members can be comprised of military and non-military but must have a minimum of 2 non-military)

  • Top three community run team (members can be comprised of military and non-military but must have a minimum of 2 non-military)

Special award categories

1st place military cup traveling trophy (run only) – between all area military teams (WY ARNG, WY ANG, USAF F.E. Warren Air Force Base)

*First five finishing times from the individual run category from each military organization will be averaged together for the overall fastest military team.

**Military members must be identified with a branch prior to the start of the race.

***To qualify for the top military team, individuals do not have to finish together.

Strength in numbers trophy – total count of military affiliated participants in the event (persons will identify prior to race).

*Can be current or retired member.

1st place civilian cup traveling trophy (run only)

*First five finishing times from individual run category from each civilian organization will be averaged together for the overall fastest civilian organization.

**Civilian organizational members must be identified with an organization prior to the start of the race.

***To qualify for the top civilian organizational team, individuals do not have to finish together.

Top three team youth trophy (run only)

*All members on the team must be under 18.
